POSTAGE TO ENGLAND, SCOTLAND & WALES:

Currently, the most reliable & economical way of sending my small parcels is via the Royal Mail tracked service. I order my postage online & the package is collected from me. While the collection is usually reliable, it does mean I am in the hands of the postie. So, whether you select 24 or 48-hour tracked, please be aware that the tracking time will start from when Royal Mail collects from me.
If you enter your email address at checkout, Royal Mail will be able to update you & (at the time of typing this) it will give you the option for it to be left in a safe place if you’re not going to be at home.
I am aware there are courier services of a similar cost, but I think we’ve all heard of the parcel being ‘delivered’ when in fact the photo shows someone else’s doorstep or a fragile item is launched over the fence, only to be found a soggy mess a week later. At the moment, the more reliable couriers are working out a little too expensive. Occasionally, I might use the services of a courier that we know to be reliable, depending on circumstances this end, but it is the exception to the norm as I have to stand the additional cost.

PACKAGING

I have tried to balance the packaging to be both environmentally friendly, yet tough enough to withstand the rigours of the journey from me to you.
Corded pendants & beaded necklaces will be sent in an eco-friendly drawstring pouch made from organic cotton that contains no tarnish-accelerating chemicals. These little bags are ideal for storing ‘awkward’ jewellery. You know, the bits that don’t quite fit nicely in your jewellery box.
Chain necklaces & earrings, which are a little more delicate, will be in a rigid jewellery box that can be reused by the recipient.

Glass is securely packaged in boxes, usually with recycled corrugated cardboard. I try to package it as nicely as possible, but my main aim is for it to arrive in one piece, so it may not be as prettily packaged as the jewellery.

The postage boxes are eco-friendly. Made from FSC-certified corrugated cardboard & water-based glue. Depending on what is being sent out, there may also be honeycomb paper and/or tissue paper within the box. The tissue paper is recycled & acid-free & the honeycomb paper is made from biodegradable kraft paper.
