WORKSHOP 1 - Mini Christmas lanterns – approx 4 hours £50 per person
Decorate 4 clear glass panels that fit a small cream metal lantern approx 20cm/8” high. After your panels have been fired in the kiln, I will fit them into your lantern, so it will be fully assembled when you collect. I currently have a limited number of lanterns, so if you want to do this workshop, please book early!
WORKSHOP 2 - Trinket dishes - approx 3 hours £50 per person
Cut strips of coloured glass to make two small trinket dishes (each approx 8.5 × 8.5cm/just over 3 × 3 inches). These trinket dishes are fired twice… once to fuse the glass & are then returned to the kiln to be slumped into a mould to create their final shape, so they take a little longer than the usual 1 – 2 week collection time. They make great handmade gifts. It will be necessary for you to cut glass, but you will be shown how to work with the glass in a safe manner & you will be able to practice until you grasp the technique.
WORKSHOP 3 - Fused glass Christmas lightcatchers - approx 2-3 hours £50 per person
You will have 3 different flat glass Christmas shapes (trees, stars, baubles, jumpers are among the designs, subject to availability). These shapes will have a hole at the top for a thin ribbon & will be suitable for hanging on the Christmas tree or as a lightcatcher. There is no glass cutting (unless you really want to!) & you will be decorating using accessory glass & ceramic paint. There will be a limited number of sessions for this workshop as these shapes are cut to order. So, once they’re gone, they’re gone.
WORKSHOP 4 - Fused glass tealight holders - approx 2 hours £30 per person
Decorate two pre-cut pieces of clear glass to create 2 small tealight holders. You are welcome to decorate with any theme, it doesn’t have to be Christmassy. They make lovely gifts. Your decorated glass will be fused, then slumped to create the shape &, due to the two firings, may take a little longer than the usual 1 – 2 week collection time.
WORKSHOP 5 - Decorate 2 panels for pre-made tealight holders – approx 2-3 hours £35 per person
You will be given two small clear glass panels to decorate as you wish. I will fire your panels in the kiln & use heat resistant glass adhesive to attach your panels to pre-made square glass tealight holders. Aside from the kiln firing time, the glue takes 48 hours to fully cure, so collection time may be a little longer than the usual 1 – 2 weeks.
WORKSHOP 6 - Decorate fused glass & cards - approx 3 hours £40 per person
This workshop will give you three small cards, each with a small flat glass ornament attached to the front of the card. The cards are A7 size (10.5 × 7.5cm/approx 4 × 3”). Each card is bifold & comes with an envelope. The front panel card will be embossed with a village Christmas scene, using an embossing folder & you will be able to decorate the embossed area using pigment inks. You will also decorate a pre-cut mini glass shape for the front of each card. The glass shapes will be fired by me & attached to the front of the card before collection.
